Test tomorrow:( Oh wait Never Mind:)

Yesterday we were told that we were going to have a test, but we will have it Thursday so the other section's can have a class to review. We also did a paper with a partner. My partner was Colleen. We did good on it. We got on wrong and i fixed. We will have one more class to review.

Today we looked more at the handout and went over the information on it. W talked about questions we had and Mr. Schick did his best to answer them. We have to do the hand outs and we will have a test on Wed. I will be very ready for it!!!

Paper Review!

Today we looked at the papers we used to do the homework last night! If we had any questions we would ask them so we were not confused. Everyone moved to the front of the class and took Mr. Schick's advice. I was a good day.

1. They had poor harvests, disruption of trade, no more plunder from wars, gold and silver drain inflation, and crushing tax burdens.

4. They were avoiding the Huns and they had a weak army which made them nervous.

5. He made the empire much more stronger, divided the empire, and he was ranked one of greatest emperors.Not all reforms were successful, failure of price controls, and wages for new troops added to the taxes which were already high.

Talked today!

Today we went over the Rome test and spent time talking about our grades and how we can do better! We will have homework once it is posted on the blogger.

Prooooooofff!

Today in class we proof read each others paper to make them better, so we can hand in the copy that is being graded tomorrow. My paper had to be fixed up a little bit because of the wording i choose. My paper is all ready to be handed in. I had my Dad read it so i felt confident handing it in. The paper is worth 100 points so I hope I do well on it.

Essay Day!

Today we worked on our essays that Mr.Schick assigned for us in class. I got my introduction paragraph finished and it clearly states that I would not live in the Roman Empire times. I will continue to work on this essay over the weekend and have it finished by Monday so I do not have to worry about ti that night. We will see you in class Tuesday and ready for proof reading!

Test Today and I survived!

Today i think i did pretty good on my test. It was on the Roman Empire and i just wish that i passed because i don't want my grade to drop. We will not have Mr. Schick in our class tomorrow and we will be working on the papers that we have due by Tuesday. The paper is on the difference or comparing the roman republic and the Roman empire. We will bring in our papers Tuesday and let someone in the class proof read it. Then the final copy will be due the next day. I will see you all tomorrow good-bye.

Test Thursday!

Today we reviewed and it seems that we are going to have a test coming up on Rome. we talked about the different rulers that Rome saw in that time and the good and bad decisions some made when the were the ruler of the most important empire in the world. We also talked about how Jesus was a roman citizen and  At 30, he began his ministry (A.D) 31-33), preaching to the poor and there were lots of them in the empire, and reaching out to outsiders. Tiberius was a very insane person and we will talk more about it in class.

Class Friday!

We learned about Tiberias who was a bad ruler. He had Coligulas two older brothers killed and killed other political rivals. He got sick of Rome and went away to a little island to hide away. Once his rule ended Caligula took over. He was a bipolar ruler who made bad decisions and even killed a priest by stabbing him in the head. He also stopped in the middle of a war to pick up seashells. He did not like Jews. Which does not explain why he made a statue of himself in a Jewish church. Finally Claudius was a not very graceful person. Eventually he was the empire of Rome and was nice to the people.

• Caligula "Bootsy" has his two older brothers in prison. 
• The time turned into a time of corruption and greed. People started to perform slavish acts.
• Tiberius could not stop the purge.
• In the year 26, Tiberius has turned his back on Rome and went to the island of Capri. 
• He sought re leaf in astronomy. He created sex tribes. He decorated the rooms with Egyptian pornography.

In this system with Tiberius being able to do anything he wants, he can engage in this sick behavior and it is completely wrong with the Emperor being in charge and untouchable.
Some people think that Tiberius behavior was a result from led poisoning.
Caligula was his only surviving error.

Rome movie!!

Today in class we watched a movie about Rome and their history. I took my retake of my Rome test today and I think I did very goos on it. I will write back on this blog when i get my grade back for it. If I did good it will change my grade dramatically. Tomorrow we will continue to watch the movie and I will take good notes for the info provided.

Test review!!

Today we reviewed for the test by getting all of the answers so we will know the correct answers for the final. I am not happy with my grade at all, so i asked for a retake on the test and Mr. Schick is granting me that permission. This will give me the chance to enhance my grade a lot and I thank him for this. Tomorrow I will take it and do a very good job on it!!11

Sick!

I was not there for the test today because I was sick! I will take it when told!

Presentation!!

Today me and Jason did our project and I think we did very good! We were able to show and read all of the information we had and people were able to understand it. I hope we got a good grade and we will continue to see projects tomorrow! Also Friday we have a test on Rome and I have to study hard for it!!

Power Point with Jason

Today Mr. Schick was not in school today so we had a sub. We were able to work on the power point, that is due tomorrow. I collected the information and Jason put it in the slides. I think ours is creative and I hope we get a good grade on it. If Mr. Schick is back tomorrow we will show our slides.

Re-take and PowerPoint

Today we retook the second pop quiz, because we did not do very well on it as a whole. I did really good on the retake. After that we talked about the assassination of Bin Laden. We talked about the thing that the navy seals did to kill him. They were very smart and courages in their actions. Then we got assigned a PowerPoint to do consisting of Mr. Schick's rap. Jason and I have the 5 paragraph on the the rap. We will continue to do the PowerPoint tomorrow.
